Lichen planus is a rare, recurrent, itchy rash, characterized by shiny reddish-purple spots on the skin and gray-white ones in the mouth. Separate spots may coalesce into rough scaly patches.
Typical Age of onset
Oral lichen planus predominantly occurs in adults older than 40 years, although younger adults and children can be affected.
